Bob Hastings Biyografisi

Robert "Bob" Francis Hastings (18 Nisan 1925 - 30 Haziran 2014) Amerikalı bir radyo, film ve televizyon karakter oyuncusuydu. Ayrıca animasyon çizgi filmlere de ses sağladı. En çok McHale's Navy'deki sinir bozucu yalaka Teğmen Elroy Carpenter rolüyle tanınıyordu. Hastings, Brooklyn, New York'ta, Charles ve Hazel Hastings, Sr.'ın oğlu olarak doğdu. Babası bir satıcıydı. Hastings radyoda "Otobüste Sahilden Sahile" (NBC) programında başladı. Hastings, İkinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Ordusu Hava Kuvvetleri'nde görev yaptı. İkinci Dünya Savaşı'nda B-29'larda gezgin olarak görev yaptıktan sonra, NBC'nin 1942'de Blue Network'ten ayrılmasının ardından NBC Red Network'te, daha sonra sadece NBC Radyo Ağı'nda Archie çizgi roman serisine dayanan bir dizide Archie Andrews rolünü oynadı. Archie Andrews'un sponsoru Swift & Company gıda ürünleriydi. Hastings, 1949'da televizyona geçti ve Atom Squad da dahil olmak üzere ilk bilim kurgu dizilerinde rol aldı.
